It's finally finished, I can't yet believe it! XD
This pic has taken me more time than any other drawing before (about... 80-100 hours I guess), but now I'm quite pleased with the result.
My green and brown colored pencils are quite short now... luckily I've been buying a new set recently. The supermarket next to our house sells them only once a year and I was lucky to get some just a few weeks ago. :)

Thank you very much!

I have a tin with 36 color pencils from 'Fantasia'. That's a British brand, as far as I know. They're really cheap here (about 2,50€), but as far as I know, they're much more expensive in other countries (about 20$ in the USA :()
However, I think it might be possible to draw something like this pic here with other cheap pencils, too, as long as the quality isn't too bad. It's just important to have pencils which don't leave dark spots at random places while you don't vary the pressure. And it's really useful to have many shades of the same color. For my dragon I had several green pencils, mixed with lots of yellow ^^
(Mmh... If I remember correctly, I used a dark Phthalo Green Polychromo to add more shades in the end... Polychromos are a bit more expensive, but I bet you know them ^^)
